POSITIVE MATERIAL IDENTIFICATION (PMI)

niton analyzer   Amcan uses state-of-the-art NITON® XRF analyzers. Engineered with the most advanced electronics and materials technology, they deliver lab-quality results with unmatched speed, precision, and accuracy. With 80 MHz real-time digital signal processing and dual state-of-the-art embedded processors for computation, data storage, communication, and other functions, they provide results that simply can't be equaled by more primitive PDA-based XRF analyzers.

Liquid Dye Penetrant Inspections (PT)

Detects discontinuities in metal surfaces. Best uses for rounded type indications, i.e. porosity, slag inclusions, cracks and non-fusion.


Magnetic Partical Testing (MT)

A nondestructive technique used for detection of surface and near surface flaws in ferrous components such as weldments, casings, and forgings. All magnetic yokes are calibrated per company procedures prior to conducting services in field.


Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Used to determine the thickness of metals at specific locations. AmCan uses the panametric 37DL Plus. UT machine is calibrated prior to each use.

Brinell Hardness (BH)

AmCan uses the "Telebrineller" to determine the Brinell hardess of certain materials.


Visual Inspections (VT)

AmCan can supply Level ll inspectors to detect visual defects in the construction process.

Amcan has over 30 years of pre-turnaround experience. If you need help with weld mapping and Visual inspections, AmCan can supply Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) along with API 510 & API 570 Inspectors.  

 

 

AmCan can also supply PMI, PT, MT, UT, and Brinell Hardness testing.

Amcan has all drug and safety policies in place. All employees are tested prior to each project and at random if necessary to provide a safe environment. Our goal is to have zero injuries during any turnaround or project no matter the time frame.


Inspection Data and Documentation

AmCan will supply our clients with professional NDE computer reports on all NDE work performed for that day.

All employees are trained to read isometric drawings allowing the QA/QC personnel to devote more time on more important issues other than having to show NDE employees where to find certain items.
